Fun with our Whale Pool

Here is our whale pool. I bought this one for 2 reasons: 1. The larger blow up pool we had last year blew away in the storm (rements of the hurricane) last September. Before we left for Chicago, we, or I guess I didn't put it away. And reason two, the one we had last year was fine for the girls, but too big for Xander. So I bought this one. Did you ever buy something that looked better or bigger on the box and when you opened it up, you were a little disappointed? Well, I was disappointed with the product's size when it was all together. The box makes it look much bigger. The whole point of getting one like this is so Xander can play in it too without risking his life getting in or out.

The girls enjoyed playing in the pool even if it was a little small for them. Maybe they liked it because it was the first time we had it out. We'll see if they like it the second time around.

Alexander wasn't too sure about the pool at first. He just sat on the side and played for awhile to deceide if he liked it or not.

All three of them in the pool pretty much takes up the entire pool. Xander still doesn't look too happy. I think that the water was too cold for his liking.

Xander's Dedication

On Mother's Day, our sweet boy was dedicated along with many of our friends' babies. What a special day to have my son dedicated.

Our youth pastor, Nick, performed the
ceremony. Each child was given a certificate of dedication, a New Testament, and a picture frame with contained a description of the meaning of each child's name and a verse to go along with it.

Day of Xander's Birthday Party

Mama cleaned the house all morning and didn't want to have it messed up, so all of us went out to lunch. Little man likes to eat. He had a piece and a half of pizza.

Xander wasn't really interested in eating his cake, instead, he just played with it.

1 year Doctor's Appointment

We started off this morning by running errands. I didn't even get breakfast before we left. Mama fed me in the shopping cart while she was grocery shopping. I usually get more for breakfast than a few bites of food. Off to the doctors appointment we went. I am happy not to be strapped into something while in the waiting room.

Getting weighed. It looks like 21.35 lbs (25%). I measured 31 inches(75-90%). Mama couldn't take a picture because I don't like laying down, so she had to help the nurse measure me. Showing off my manly strengh before the doctor comes in. I am in top physical condition.
So far since turning one, I have not had any cake to eat, I have bloodied my mouth twice, and I have had 3 shots. I don't think that I like being one!

Oh What a Day

Such a handsome little guy if I do say so myself. All of us went out to lunch with Daddy for my birthday at FirstWatch. For once I wasn't very interesed in eating, so there wasn't really a good photo opp. Then we headed off to toys R Us to get the Birthday Club suprise. I got a balloon and a crown. I liked playing with the balloon and Mama was smart enough not to put the crown on me. I would have torn it to shreds, so no picture of me but there is one of the balloon and crown. Lunch was about as much birthday celebrating as we did. My sisters had gymnastics and swimming after dinner, and of course I had to come to the gym for an hour and a half to watch them. While I was there, I managed to fall on two seperate occasions and make my mouth bleed. Mama's shirt was covered in blood. After the second time, Mama strapped me me in my stroller for the remainder of the time. No camera, so no photo. Mama is making me a cake that we will eat on Saturday. We are having a BBQ with some neighbors and friends.
Grammy is coming in town because on Sunday I am getting dedicated.
