Pictures of Xander

After taking cute pictures of Charlotte, I decided to take some of Xander. He is such a happy baby. It is so easy to take pictures of him right now, so I better get them while he can't go any where. There are no pictures of Bella because she wasn't in the mood for a photo shoot, plus the motivation of a treat after pictures at JC Penney's gets her to smile for her pictures.

I got better pictures

After trying to get good pictures of Charlotte at JC Penney's we finally did get 1 that I was happy with. At home I decided to try and take some pictures of my own to see if I could get a better one. I got 3 good ones. How is it I had more success than they did?

Gymnastics Fever

I recorded all the gymnastics from the Olympics and the girls and I watched it the next morning during breakfast. Bella enjoyed all the flipping, but Charlotte got so excited when she saw the gymnasts. All she could talk about was "nastics". She even wanted to wear a leotard, so I got out Bella's old ballet leotard so she could do "nastics". When we took Charlotte with us to watch Bella in her gymnastics class, she was so distraught when she couldn't go in the class with Bella. Now Charlotte is signed up for a Mommy and me class which starts this Wednesday.

Kettering Water Park

We went to Kettering Water Park for Shea and Alivea's Birthday party. They are in Charlotte's Sunday School Class.
Charlotte, Bella and Xander had a great time.

The temperature outside was about 75 degrees with a slight breeze. Charlotte enjoyed relaxing on Daddy's lap or maybe to stay warm. The pool water was just alittle too cold for mama to get into the water, so I took all the pictures. Daddy had to tough it out.

Bella loved playing in the water. The only time she got out of the water was during the breaks.

The Kids After Bath Time

Charlotte and Bella love Xander and I think that he likes them too.

Xander's Bath Time

I love bath time. I am happy sitting in my seat in the water and laying on my towel out of the water. My favorite thing to do once I am in the bath is pee in the clean water. Once mama takes me out, I like to spit up on myself so it gets in my neck folds.

Charlotte's Birthday Party

Charlotte had a rubber Duck birthday party. Duckie was one of her first words, so I thought that it would make a great party. Not to metion that Bella went to a duckie party when she was 2. I bought the 3-D Duck cake pan knowing in advance that it could be challenging. The cake part turned out great from what I could tell. The frosting is what gave me so much trouble. I tried to make little stars all over but I couldn't get the frosting the right temperature. At room temperature it was too runny, after being in the fridge to firm up it was too firm to work with. I never did get the right temperature to do the stars, so I just spread the frosting all over trying to make it look nice. Then duck experienced a technically dificulty. It tipped over on it's side. Not good. This picture was take from its good side. Was I happy with the end product? Let's just say that I'm glad Charotte is only 2; however, the cake did taste really good. That must count for something, right?
The kids went on a Duckie hunt in our backyard. Dixon was very proud of his ducks. Nora and Charlotte really didn't care too much. It ended up that the moms did more of the hunting than the kids. I hid them well, maybe a little too well for 2 yr. olds. It was a short lived activity and that's fine because 2 yr. olds have short attention spans.
After doing bubbles in the driveway and playing in the baby pool (neither of which did I get pictures of), the kids were ready for the duckie cake. Poor Charlotte had to look at the ugly side of the cake to get a cute picture. I don't think that it matter. All she was thinking was how am I going to lick all of the frosting off of this duck. I tried to light the candles, but it was too windy to keep them lit.

I don't think that Charlotte actually ate any of the cake. She just ate the frosting. At least she used a fork to do it because usually she prefers to use her hands to eat, especially cereal with milk.
Who likes cake? Nora does. She liked it so much that she had 2 pieces.
